Retreat Activities

Relax and kick back with a good book or your sketch pad or your favorite writing journal in one of the snug little nooks and crannies Barb has provided around the property.  Or just drink in the view of the mountains, trees and sky; soak up the sound of the river, the birds... ahhhhh.

OR sign up for a Yoga or Tai Chi session with Barb on the deck overlooking the Skykomish River, or in the Yoga Atrium during the winter.  Sessions are tailored to your needs and level of flexibility.  Remember, you are as young as your spine!

Barb and Hanah are always happy to guide or take you to the great hiking places - we're only minutes from Wallace Falls, Lake Serene and Bridal Veil Falls.   Mt. Index and Mt. Persis offer hikes for enthusiasts of all levels of fitness and daring, from easy strolls along wooded forest roads to serious rock scaling!

Right out the door you can turn left and stroll down to the beach or turn right and explore the wooded trails of Green Water Meadows.

Sky Riverhaven is equipped to serve vegetarian, macrobiotic OR  full-scale Italian lunch and dinner for a donation to the charity of your choice. Two bicycles are available for exploring other nearby wonders. There are great museums and antique stores and a variety of interesting shops in Gold Bar, Start-Up and Sultan.  

Quieter activities for the afternoon and evening might include a Bubbling Well Tai Chi class, a Feldenkrais session, Focusing and/or I Ching styles of meditation and clearing.  If you would like prayer, Barb is available and glad to pray with you.

Sky Riverhaven has a great library of both books and CD's for your pleasure, and puzzles and games galore.  There is a fire pit overlooking the river if a campfire is a way you like to unwind in the evening and a fire circle right down by the river.  Barb'll provide the marshmellows.

Sky Riverhaven is a healing place where you can get away from the stress and busyness of the city and quiet down long enough to remember what else in life is really important.  We look forward to your first visit.
